I often play a card game on my phone called Castle. The object is to stack all the cards in the deck in the correct order from Ace to King in each suit. Each hand is guaranteed to be winnable, but as I play, a small doubt creeps in that I will make it to the end of the deck and not have them in order after all. Of course, it always proves my doubts wrong.
I find that is how I sometimes picture my own life’s circumstances. The Bible says if I trust in God, He will take care of things. He has a plan, and if He cares about sparrows and lilies of the field, how much more will He take care of me? Yet sometimes, I just don’t see how…
Thank goodness the Lord does- because He knows the future. I can only see this moment in time. So whenever the doubts niggle my brain and tighten my stomach, I need to remember that every hand is winnable – because I am resting in His ever-loving hands.
Today, God reminded me as I played a game on my phone that He is there and He cares- always, no doubt about it!
How has He spoken to you today? I’d love to know. Reply in the comments so we can all see how wonderfully God works in the background of our lives.
